A comprehensive database that provides free access to information about hundreds of cases of nonviolent action. From ancient Egypt, 12th century BCE to the present day, cases are drawn from all continents, describing people's struggles for human rights, economic justice, democracy, national and ethnic identity, environmental sustainability, and peace. It makes available comparative information to support researchers, writers and activists to develop strategic knowledge and theory.
